Catch-up Part 2

Well, I am back again to give you another update of my life.  From the last time I mention, I begin a new job working at Blockbuster.  Things at first went great.  I enjoyed the job, customer and co-workers unitl my store manager had to leave for a family emegency back to Georgia.  For awhile we were without a store manager but we still had the assist store manager.  As time went on, it became clear that the store manager wasn't going to return.  Eventually, the district manager had another store manager from his store to come help us out until he hires a store manager.  The things is that everyone that worked there had a good vibe going and this store was the best in the district.  Number 2 in the nation when it came down to Blockbuster Online application.  Not only that but the customer were very much loyal to this particular store and we all knew each other.  What I am tyring to say is everyone loved our store because it had a great atmosphere and the services was excellent.

Because we had such a great store, other store manager had problems with the way the store manager was running it and so on.  When the othere store manager came over to run it, he changed everything.  He took down the decoration and turn off the music and would say this is not blockbuster policy.  Nevertherless, it worked and help to increase revenue and bonuses for employees.  Instead of run it and keeping things the same, he ran it down to the dumps, customer noticed a great difference in the atmosphere of the store and wasn't too happy.  Then problems started with customer when it would show up in the system that movies were not returned and customer were getting phones calls and bills in the mail.  We ended up finding lots of movie that was returned back on the shelves and not properly check-in.   Before him, we had a very strict process on everything we did.  Our store manager was prior military and very organized.  Because of it, we rarely had problems such as that until the other store manager came and changed this to "Blockbuster standards".

I am sure Blockbuster did not mind the way things were being run as long as the store was producing numbers.  However, he changed the whole process of the operation and it caused lots of problems with customers and even employees.  In particularly, me.  Once again I am back dealing with the same problems.  I worked really hard at that store and the proof is in the bag.  But this store manager was up to no good and he was only taking things out from our store and sending them to his store and no one wasn't doing anything about it.  It really bother me that he was destroying the hard work that the employees put in to make that store the best.  It seems as if no one really cared.   He begin to say I did not know how to work and all sorts of things whereas other employees knew I one of the best workers they ever had.  Especially, as the entertainment specialist.  Once he had done his damage to the store, a manager was finally hired and things with him was ok.  I had a talk with him about the previous manager and he was telling me that he said things about me that were negative which I knew this prior to talking to him.  Supposively we cleared things up but, it started out good and then, it went bad and started up this same thing with me again.  The best thing about it is when he saw how good I was, he felt stupid and started to give me more respect.  But it was too late, he already put me through enough problems that I wanted to leave and besides, it was too far for me to travel by bus because I had already moved from the area.

Well, I will continue my story later.  Gotta go!
