I'm Back! - Catch up - Part 1

  • Mood:

Hello everyone!  I know most of you have been wondering what happen to me.  Well, alot has happen since my last entry.  I have been through the good and the bad.  I am still struggling to work things out in my life.  Well, Since then I have moved twice.  But before that I started to work at the Miami International airport and things were going great until one of the leads started to personal to pick on me about me avoiding to do my job.  I must say in my defense I have an excellent job and learn alot since I started to work there.  The training was poorly done and I had to learn most of the job by hands on and asking other experienced co-workers.  Ops! I am sorry!  I forgot to tell you that I was working for Comair Delta Connection as a CSR/Ramp Agent.  Now, back to what I was saying.  As I already mention, I work my A$$ off to do my best considering that most of the experienced workers there were bored from other station thoughout the US.   So, I thought to myself that this is an opportunity to move up in the company considering that they were still  trying to fill the Miami Station with new employee and send the others back home.  Well, this particular Lead was picking on me for no reason at all and probably felt that I was a threat to his job because maybe I was doing good or better that him or any other of his friends that he wants to see moving up.

I decided to have a talk with the station manager about this because I was at a point of furious anger.  Normally I would just curse people out but this time I decided I would calmly have a chat with the manager.  Well, after that, another problem came up again with another Lead and this was the last straw.  Since I have been working there, all these people would do is find things to write people up and try to get rid of them.  The things is that they don't properly train anyone and lots of mistakes happen.  Mind you that this is at an airport around airplanes which could be very dangerous.  This is like my third time that I had to defend myself against this type of poor management and ignorance.  I was such a great worker that I was approached by one of the supervisor and was asked to attend two schools back to back.  One was for Airplane Load Agent (ALA) and gate training.  So I know that I was doing what was expected of me and then some.  Anyway, the second Lead agent tried to write me up for something I did not do and he was lying about it.  At this point I was tired of the foolishness and I blew my top.  It seems to me that they would not listen if I am calm and polite.   So, I had to get biligerent (might be spelled wrong but you know what I am trying to say.

So, they sent me home and had the nerve to tell me to go home and thing about my action.  Well, I didn't!  Instead I use the time to find another job that is better for me with better management.  Fortunately, I did and I begin my new job at Blockbuster.  This ends the first part.  Stay tune for the second.
